Hi-Hat Cymbals

A Hi-Hat Cymbal is a combination of two cymbals, which is operated by a foot pedal. The Hi-Hat Cymbal is an essential part of any standard Drum Kit used by drummers in many genres of music. In most cases, it is used to play a steady pattern which holds a beat together.

Depending on the weight of a hi-hat cymbal, it can produce different sounds. If it’s a lighter cymbal, it produces a bright sound, whereas, a heavier cymbal produces a darker sound. When the hi-hat is open, the sound produced is a nice additional accent in a drummer’s repertoire. When closed, the sound changes to a muted sound, depending on the style of the cymbal.
